Forgiveness

But you have mercy on all, because you can do all things;
and you overlook the sins of men that they may repent.
For you love all things that are and loathe nothing that you have made;
for what you hated, you would not have fashioned.
And how could a thing remain unless you willed it;
or be preserved, had it not been called forth by you?
But you spare all things, because they are yours, O Lord......
Wisdom 12:23-26

I am grateful that the Lord forgives.  All we have to do is ask.  The Lord forgives so easily, but it is a struggle for us.  Holding on to anger and resentment is keeping you and me from living a life of Thanksgiving.  I believe forgiveness is more for the forgiver than the forgiven. Forgiveness will free us of the disappointments and pain of the past and allow us to LIVE in TODAY.  Sometimes we need to forgive ourselves.  Sometimes we need to forgive others. Sometimes we need to ask for forgiveness.  Whatever your situation may be, take care of it today so you can LIVE in TODAY.  Thank the Lord for giving you the strength and courage to help you through it.

Many Blessing,
Linda

  1. Love the rainbow picture! It reminds me of when my kids were young and we would be riding in the car around sunset. I would comment on how pretty it was and they would make fun of me! I knew that one day they would enjoy the sunsets, rainbows and beautiful full moons. I think that so often we are caught up in what's going on in our on little space that we forget to look up and around for the beauty in everyday life!

    One evening I was leaving the grocery store and looked up to see the brightest, fullest moon I have ever seen. I realized that at that moment my family was scattered to different cities: husband in Virginia, daughter in Dallas and son in New Hampshire. I sent a text to all of them to look up at the moon and they all replied within one minute....instant connection. It was really great!

  2. Hi Carol,
    I agree! We do get caught up in everyday life that we miss out on the beauty God has given us. Starting this journal has changed the way I look at things. I have realized that the most important thing is to give thanks to God. When we do that, everything else will fall into place.

    I loved your story of the moon. No matter where our families are, we are all looking and the same moon, stars and sun.

    Thank you for your comment,
    Linda
